Like so many women, I used to measure progress by the number on the scale and saw exercise as something I had to do to earn my food. Everything changed when I shifted my focus from aesthetics to performance. Strength training taught me to appreciate what my body was capable of. Running challenged me in entirely new ways. It taught me resilience, discipline, and confidence; not because it was easy, but because it showed me I was capable of more than I thought.
